We’re just starting to animate this lil’ guy in a 2D Principles class that I’m taking right now. I already LOVE him. It’s actually making me consider becoming an animator rather than a concept artist. I’ve found clean up to be a frustrating process and that my heart is pulled more towards the rough and messy. Our ultimate goal of this class is to make a 1:15 min short where we put an “ordinary” flour sack in a situation with funny circumstances. It’s kind of a right of passage for animators, or you can also think of it as a tradition if you want. By completing this project we’re able to explore emotions through body language and are also able to practice the fundamental principles of animation. I’ll post different videos along the way showing the process we’re taking in class. Until then, enjoy this doodle of me squeezing the life of this amazingly adorable actor!
